Ride from Macquarie Uni to Lane Cove National Park - gorgeous in the early morning, then head towards Homebush Bay via Shrimpton's Creek cycleway and backstreets. Included is the ripping descent of Melville Rd from Blaxland Rd. Cross John Witton bridge and wend your way to Newington for a well-earned coffee. Return by a different route through West Ryde and Eastwood - mostly uphill, but at least we don't climb back up Melville!
This ride is fairly hilly, and uses cycle paths, on-road cycle lanes, and roads. It is a good ride for anyone comfortable with A to C or Pie in the Sky.
NOTES: Big Ride Day. Special Start: Victoria Ave entrance park at Sydney Olympic Park (Bicentennial Park) at Concord West. The same ride but with the start point half way round the normal loop.
