Ride up through quiet streets to the M2 at Pennant Hills Rd, along the M2 shoulder to Winston Hills at your own pace, then follow the cycle route to Parramatta Park taking in quiet streets and Westmead Hospital.

Once at the Park we do a couple of laps (either fast or slow) before proceeding to morning tea. We return under the M4 (cycleway) and Parramatta Valley Cycleway to Meadowbank, then take the gradual climb up the hill to Eastwood.

This medium grade ride provides an opportunity for those used to easier or flatter rides to gain experience on longer and hillier rides. A wide range of gearing can be used on this ride. More experienced riders will also enjoy a shorter ride with some short bursts on the M2 and in Parramatta Park to get their workout.

The ride typically takes 3.5-4 hrs including coffee stop at an average speed of 20km/h.

Riders should be prepared with spare tubes and puncture repair gear as the M2, M4 and PVC cycleways are routinely littered with glass and debris.
