03/11/2017 Friday North Sydney to Bondi Loop

A coastal ride through the Eastern Suburbs to Watsons Bay then a climb to Dover Heights before descending to Bondi, Tamarama and Bronte beaches and completing the loop through the CBD on bike lanes.
NOTES:This gorgeously scenic ride has many lookouts and photo opportunities with some short but steep hills but the ride will be run at a slower pace with many bale out points. I expect the ride to finish at 1.30-2pm. Coffee stop at Watsons Bay Limited to ten riders therefore Members must pre-register Cancelled if raining

Cross Parramatta river on John Whitton Bridge, ride through Rhodes and Concord West to Cabarita Ferry Wharf then Breakfast Point. Cross the river on the Putney Punt and return to Meadowbank on the riverfront route.
NOTES:Morning Tea at the Olive Kitchen, Breakfast Point which we will leave at 10.15 to get on the first ferry at 10.30 getting back to Meadowbank at 11.15 Cancelled if raining

Ride the Parramatta River from the headwaters in the Hills District via Quarry Creek and Toongabbie Creek. Follow the Parramatta River and harbour bays and foreshores to the Sydney Harbour Bridge and North Sydney.
NOTES:Includes a 50km and 100km option starting Seven Hills station. 50km option: Ride will conclude at Wynard Station after passing through Gladesville. Please bring Opal Card for the return train journey to Seven Hills. 100km option: Ride back to Seven Hills via Concord (weather permitting) with select bailout points. In the event of adverse weather please check the Bike North website to confirm if the ride is cancelled.

Ride with significant hills, mostly on back roads, through to the Spit, Arabanoo Lookout, North Head/Old Man's Hat. Return via Manly Vale and Spit. Minimal regrouping.
NOTES:Early start, short-ish ride, for those with "Cup commitments". Starting Artarmon for parking possibilities (east of station) and less congestion (vs St Leonards). This start adds some 3km. We'll return via St Leonards (total 44km) thence Artarmon (total 47km). Coffee at North Head if weather suits. 'Aiming to return by 11 if incident-free. Pace at least Moderate when not uphill, corners, lights etc. Views merely glimpsed :)

Loop around Homebush Bay with a coffee stop. Suitable for beginners and children OVER 12 accompanied by an adult carer.
NOTES:This ride will include ALL THE HILLS OF OLYMPIC PARK !!! Some of the hills will need to be climbed, others will have an optional alternative if a rider can't make the climb. The coffee stop will be late in the ride as a reward for all the challenges met. Bring your climbing legs !!

We will aim to visit a number of the bays and foreshores in the time between coffee and the party as time permits. The pace of the ride will aim to be toward the higher end of Steady.
