LinkUp was a scheme,initaited by Bike North, to assist cyclists in northern Sydney who commute to work, or who would like to commute by bike, to link up with other cyclists who ride the same or similar route.
As cyclists we have all experienced the differences between riding alone and in a small group on our roads, expecially in peak times. Groups are safer and command more respect from other road users.
Riding with a buddy also gives advantages when there is a flat tyre or minor mechanical problem, and gives you someone to chat with on the way to work.
Now there is a scheme called Gutter Monkey which covers all of Sydney and does a whole lot more besides. If you want to find a good cycle route to somewhere, or need friend to ride with, take a look.
