Canowindra is well worth the visit - a few good cafes and the famous "Age of Fishes Museum". The ride across provides some spectaular views of the ranges around Orange and Mt Canobolis, followed by some well deserved donwhill runs into Canowindra. After a short climb out of town (how unusual) the undulations evetnually give way to a pretty flat section of road following the river back to town.
