Bike North Premium Membership

Being a Premium member of Bike North includes membership of Cycling Australia – that’s how Bike North facilitates insurance for members.

To join Bike North as a Premium member you must:

  1. Decide if you are going to race or ride?
    • If race – you will need Cycling Australia ‘Gold’ membership.
    • If ride but not race – you should choose Cycling Australia ‘Silver’ membership.

  2. Have a scanned copy of suitable identification – e.g. driver licence or passport if you are going to race.
  3. Join Cycling Australia - nominate Bike North as your club, then select the membership type in the ‘New Registration’ page (Ride Adult is the most common type for Bike North members, it provides insurance but not racing). When Cycling Australia advises Bike North that you have joined and nominated Bike North as your club, the Bike North membership officer will set up your Bike North membership and email you that you are now also a member of Bike North.
  4. You should then log on to the Bike North membership system, using the information provided in the ‘welcome to Bike North’ email, and complete any further information including selecting email lists, adding contact details or even a photograph and biography.

Your Cycling Australia membership receipt will provide proof of membership of Bike North until you receive the ‘welcome to Bike North’ email. Cycling Australia will send you a membership card which will note that you are a member of Bike North.
