These postcards were handed out to the general public to raise the awarenesss of the need for Rail Trails on the Main Northern and North Shore lines. People were happy to fill them in and send them off - a sign that the proposal has always enjoyed widespread support in the community. The postcard (pictured right) reads: "Wouldn't you like to have a safe, easy path to cycle to school, work, your local shops or even just for fun? Support our proposal to use the railway easement for a high quality cycleway beside the Main Northern and North Shore railway lines." |
