Street crossings in Liverpool

The footpaths in the area have been widened as can be seen by the new concrete that has been laid down. Kerb ramps have been provided for access to the roadway. The sign on the right indicates that cyclists should turn up the side street about 15 metres to the pedestrian crossing instead of crossing at the corner.

This area is a residential neighbourhood with many houses and multi-storey unit buildings. The footpath is crossed by many driveways. Cycling on the footpaths will introduce conflict between pedestrians and also cars crossing into houses. Where possible the cycleway should avoid footpaths in these areas.
