Hi NSW BUGs!
Thank you for those BUGs who attended and contributed to the inaugural NSW Bicycle Forum hosted at NSW Parliament House.
The main issues for people riding bikes were discussed by representatives of each of the major political parties, Bicycle User Groups, Councils and stakeholders with an interest in bike riding. Bicycle NSW facilitated a discussion of the issues and actions required based on case-studies of the fatalities that have occurred in 2019.
We have now compiled a report which is available for download here.
We encourage everyone with an interest in safer roads, less congestion and reducing pollution to read the report and use it to call for change wherever you are in NSW.
We also would like to invite everyone to join the BUG Forum (if you haven’t already) and start an online conversation about issues in your area / community and any other bike riding related topics. The BUG Forum is an easy to use, convenient tool to share information, exchange ideas and discuss cycling infrastructure and safety issues.
