Registrations Open:
Thirty (30) people have already registered – would you like to come to Cowra too?
You can ride any or all of the four days: Friday 10th April till Monday 13th April.
There are rides each day suitable for every level of rider.
See Bike North calendar for April to see at the rides, routes, maps and elevation profiles. https://www.bikenorth.org.au/cal/
If you are considering coming to Cowra, then, it makes sense to register at the same time as you book your bike in for a service….
A good time to service your bike:
There is no bicycle shops in Cowra (and besides it will be Easter – a Public Holiday). So if you are coming it is a good idea to have your bike serviced beforehand.
Don’t let the bike let you down.
Ensure your bike has been serviced and is in good working order.
Lights may need batteries – bring them too! Even in daylight, these new, more powerful lights give out good illumination and adds to your safety – This is especially true when you cycle in groups of at least four – therefore there are four head lights and four tail lights for motorists to see!
Bring enough batteries to last four days!
Cat Heads
Remember that Cowra is full of a prickle grass called a Cat-Head. They will give you numerous punctures in a second.
Do not put your tyres on anything that is / was or ever could be green! – You have been warned!
Plan Ahead:
Spare inner tubes – Bring enough spare inner tubes – they are cheap nowadays and you don’t want a lack of tubes stopping you riding.
Tyres – Check your tyres: Are they looking worn? Is the sided cracking? Then it would be wise to consider replacing them before Cowra. A cat head can go un-detected in the wall of a tyre and can cause multiple punctures – so consider bringing a spare tyre.
