Have your say – Pinpoint your local streets as shared spaces

Have your say on public space during COVID-19

NSW Department of Planning, Industry and Environment are asking you to tell them about the local streets you love and why, ideas for how your local streets could be improved through temporary or semi-permanent trials, and of course any examples of streets as great public spaces. Ideas could be for anything from piloting new walking or cycling paths to pop-up community-led street events, turning pavement to plazas or asphalt to art, trialling a low-traffic neighbourhood or reallocating more space as parks and play streets for people.

Go to the website, pin your street and tell the department why it is special and the project you would like to see develop.

Bike North requests all member to visit the site and pin their local streets as well as streets in their local CBDs like North Sydney, Hornsby, Chatswood, Ryde and Parramatta. Even if your idea is already pinned, show your support by Liking as many pins as you can. With your help we can get the message out there, that both in times of COVID-19 and afterwards, streets are there to be shared.
