Public exhibition of the concept design for the Chatswood to St Leonards Bicycle Route closes this Sunday 19 July. This plan is to upgrade the existing shoulder lanes to a separated bi-directional cycleway along Hampden Road and Herbert Street. More details at https://www.haveyoursaywilloughby.com.au/Chatswood_StLeonards_PBN. This route is on the draft Principal Bicycle Network and the concept design, if approved, is a critical step which could provide future state and/or federal funding to build this cycleway. Your support will help ensure this approval.
This route connects the Strategic Centres of Chatswood and St Leonards, provides direct connections to Artarmon Village, the hospital and education precinct at St Leonards, the separated cycleway along Epping Road and the Gore Hill Freeway and the Artarmon Industrial Area. As a separated cycleway this will make this area accessible by bike for many more people.
