With Christmas and New Year’s festivities over, have you thought about what you want to do at Easter? Would you fancy a weekend of cycling? Cowra is about 5 hours’ drive west of Sydney.
Hopefully we will be able to offer Bike North’s annual Easter cycle festival again in Cowra this year – from 2nd April to 5th April 2021, assuming that the COVID-19 pandemic is over by then.
The weekend will include a number of rides each day suitable for every level of rider. There are nine rides scheduled over the four days. The choice of rides is up to you:
For more details on the rides look at April 2021 on the BN Calendar: https://www.bikenorth.org.au/cal/
You will be riding independently, there is no Ride Leader showing you the way, nor a Sweep waiting for you if your bike breaks down. Therefore, it is important your bike is up to the trip.
There is no bike shop in Cowra.
So, now is the time to think of booking your bike in for a good service. With the travel restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic bike shops are especially busy.
While you are at the bike shop, make sure you stock up on lots of spare tubes and don’t forget a puncture repair kit. Remember that Cowra is full of a prickle grass called a Cat-Head. They will give you numerous punctures in a second.
Registration for the weekend will be opened shortly – watch this space.
