Bike North members and any one who cycles in or through Ryde LGA are encouraged to provide their input into City of Ryde Green Links Masterplan for three open space corridors. Two of which, if completed in the future, would provide key cycling transport/recreation routes across Ryde, and links between existing cycling paths. The draft Green Links Masterplan include: Shrimptons Creek Corridor / County Corridor (both would include cycling and walking connections) and Terrys Creek Corridor (would be a walking link). Opening and extending these corridors will significantly improve cycling connections between Macquarie Park to Eastwood and Macquarie Park to West Ryde and onwards to Meadowbank. It will also include park, environmental and biodiversity improvements. Bike North’s Ryde Workgroup members support the ideas in the masterplan and the extension of the Shrimptons Creek corridor would be particularly high on our priorities for future shared path implementation. You may also have comments on other green links the Masterplan should be considering.
