We need to think creatively about riding while we can’t travel outside our LGA or more than 10kms from our homes.
See the cat in the image above? This is an example of ‘Strava Art’; it’s someone’s ride as recorded by Strava. This image comes from Centennial Park. Here are some more examples of Strava Art, to inspire you: www.google.com.au/search?q=strava+art.
Here is the challenge we are throwing out to you:
- Research the paths and streets in your local area
- Design a route that will give a cool Strava Art image
- Record the ride using Strava and send us the link. (For example, the cat above comes from www.strava.com/activities/2966949667.)
Before the end of Lock-Down, email the Strava link for your entry to firstname.lastname@example.org. Members can enter as many times as they want.
Yes, there is a prize! The best image received before the end of Lock-Down will win a Bike North cap in the new design (www.bikenorth.org.au/2021/06/30/bike-north-jersey-update/).
Any route is eligible providing it is made by a Bike North member using active transport; you could ride, walk, run, swim, kayak. You must stay within the government’s Stay-At-Home guidelines.
Not familiar with Strava? Download the app to your phone. The free version does everything you need for this competition. www.strava.com.
