A number of gallant souls braved the elements to come to Nowra on 9th-12th December. Some also decided the weather was against them and chose not to come. On a couple of occasions some of us thought that this seemed to be a wise choice.
But, to be honest, most of the time the weather was horrid all around Nowra but was not too bad where we were.

On Thursday, between showers, we were able to cycle from Nowra along flat country roads to Greenwell Point where there is a cafe that has been repeatedly voted to sell the best fish and chips in NSW!

Friday was definitely the worst day of the weekend. The route would take us this way so we cut the ride short when the wind was gusting as we cycled across the Shoalhaven River bridge. We certainly didn’t go across the ford!

Saturday and Sunday were great cycling days in comparison: Saturday – south to HMAS Albatross and the Fleet Air Arm Museum.

Sunday – a lovely ride north to Berry (everyone’s favourite tourist town) and on to Shoalhaven Heads for a surprise – where we couldn’t take away any of the pencils!

Make a note in your diary to do this trip with us in 2022!
