Bike North regularly contributes to projects that impact cyclists in Northern Sydney. Below are some current and recent projects on which Bike North has provided input.
Ryde Council has approved the development of a GreenLinks project that promises to provide connectivity and access for pedestrians and cyclists, including from Macquarie Park to Meadowbank. Read more about the project here: Green Links Masterplan | City of Ryde (nsw.gov.au) Bike North is supporting development of the plan to ensure cyclists’ needs are being considered.
Transport for NSW is seeking approval to widen the M7 from Prestons to Richmond Rd. The widening will occur in the median, but will disrupt the heavily used and enjoyed shared path beside the motorway. Bike North has made a submission in response to the widening request.
