A combination of highway, national park and coastal riding, replicating much of the famous 'Gong Ride from Sutherland.
NOTES:Our ride covers a major section of the Gong Ride and UCI World Championships road race, starting at Sutherland Station. Our descent from Waterfall may be impacted by road works but then the National Park and coast roads awaits. Large sections at own pace. Pace is brisk as we have some great descents and flat fast sections. Train back from Coniston, arriving back at the start around 12:30pm.

Moderate paced ride via Akuna Bay to scenic West Head . Bring your own morning tea to savour with the magnificent views across Pittwater and Broken Bay.
NOTES:Bring a snack for West Head Lookout and carry enough water as no potable water @ West Head. Coffee/ at the end of the ride. Pace at the lower end of brisk or think of it as the upper end of moderate pace.

Hard hilly ride through Bobbin Head, Berowra Waters, Arcadia and Galston Gorge, all climbed in the opposite direction to the clasic Three Gorges ride.
NOTES:Farewell to Galston Gorge (before two months maintenance). "Relaxed" ride, except the three climbs ;) Late start after madding crowd dissipates ands sun warms. Coffee at Berowra after 27km. Optional lunch at end.

Mainly down hill to catch Greenwich Ferry . One hour Island visit. Flat riding on an island of historic interest. Then cross Harbour on Ferry back to City. Cycle up hill to return to Naremburn shops through North Sydney.
NOTES:An historic Island interest tour. Time keeping required due to reliance on Ferry travel to/from the Island. Bring Opal card and mask. Being so exposed, the ride will be cancelled if weather is poor; check BN calendar. Leader's on ride mobile 0493382359

A Slice of Banana Pie means you can have your pie and eat it at Pie in the Sky after a spin up the highway, then burn it off climbing out of Bobbin Head the sensible side.

NOTES:This ride will be extended to Lake Parramatta for coffee. Some road sections involved but quieter roads, in the main. To achieve the advertised average pace we will be riding in the low 20kph's on the flater sections.

Ride the full length of the M7 cycleway. This is an out and back route with a surprising number of climbs, though nothing steep.
NOTES:Riders should be at least double vaccinated. Cancelled if raining. Coffee stop at Prestons, and we will stop for lunch on return to Bella Vista for those wishing to have a bite to eat. Check Tramsport NSW for train / metro services.

Ride through the Hills district onto the M7 cycleway stopping at Moonrise Lookout. Return via Prospect and PVC to Meadowbank & uphill to Eastwood
NOTES:The shorter version of Moonrise, removing the initial steep pinches and rattling down the Northern Rd to the M7 Cycleway. Prospect dam path is closed, hence a detour through the industrial area and riders need to be comfortable with traffic. Coffee @ Granatas Pemulwuy and hence arrive at Olympic Park for the annual general meeting

NOTES:This is the resurrection of a very old ride that hasn't been run in years. It is a mixture of two rides: "Across the Ford" and "Exploring Eastwood" with a few twists and turns that haven't seen Bike North riders for a long long time.
