Part flat, part undulating, far from the madding crowd. Several short pinches. Beware: few replenishment places.
NOTES:This ride is on country roads and some shoulders so riders should be confident with cars passing. The course is undulating with a few climbs around 14%, however they are not long. On the ride we pass through bush land, farms and some of the newer developments in the north west of Sydney.

Ride from Waterfall Station through the Royal National Park with a climb to Stanwell Tops descending to Stanwell Beach crossing the Seacliffe Bridge then foreshore path to Wollongong
NOTES:Please note the change in start to SUTHERLAND Station, eastern side. This adds about 13km to the ride, most of it relatively quick shoulder riding. The ride will be run at the lower end of Brisk pace which is possible given the initial highway section and the Waterfall to Stanwell Tops sections that allow for good cruising speeds. There will be minimal regrouping. Coffee at Bulli Beach so it is recommended snacks also be brought. It is planned to catch the train back from Coniston at 11:35am.

Turramurra station to Bobbin Head via Bobbin Head Rd including the climbing of the not much steeper side to the park gates with the option of sitting this part out and return to Turramurra station by the same route
NOTES:Starting at Turramurra Station, we ride to Bobbin Head Rd via Kuring Gai Rd and Boomerang St before carefully negotiating the winding descent to Bobbin Head. There, we will then climb the slightly steeper side to the park gates or ake an option of staying at Bobbin Head to take in the view whilst waiting for those returning from the climb. As a group we take the side trip to Apple Tree Bay before the climb back out along Bobbin Head Rd turning off at Boomerang St and coffee then Eastern Rd back to Turramurra Station. Hazards on this ride include riding with close traffic along Bobbin Head Rd, the long descents and ascents on narrow roads with vehicles and faster cyclists passing close and often without warning Toilets and water at Bobbin Head

We deviate off the route travelling via some back roads to enter Parramatta Park. After less than an hour and a lap of the park return via Parramatta. (If you are keen there is always time for 2 or even 3 laps of the park.) After leaving the Park we travel east directly through Parramatta City. then some more back roads through Harris Park to join the M4 cycleway. Hard, hilly ride through Galston Gorge, Arcadia, Berowra Waters to Pie in The Sky for coffee. Return via Bobbin Head to Hornsby.
NOTES:Coffee will be towards the end of the ride at Nth Turramurra so bring a snack. We won't go to PITS for coffee but turn right at old pacific highway after Berowra climb. Front and rear lights recommended. Cancelled if raining.

Ride along the PVC to Parramatta Park. Do a lap or two of the park before coffee, then return via M4 c/p.
NOTES:After a lap or two of the park and coffee, we will visit the Newington Armoury on the return leg, to enjoy "Art Express" HSC student's exhibition, then return to Meadowbank.

Ride from Parramatta River and along the Cooks River, to the Georges River. Enjoy coffee from the Como Pleasure Grounds overlooking the Georges River. Return via Cooks River.
NOTES:Pre-registration is required. Restricted to 12 people. Overall ride pace targeted at Moderate with flat sections ridden more briskly 22kmh+ with continuous riding. In the event of poor weather the ride may be cancelled, please check the Bike North website.
