Tip of the Week!

Whether you are a tube swapper or a fix-the-puncture on the go person, ensure the tyre doesn’t spin on rim when removing your tube.  Once you’ve localised the hole on the tube, match it with the tyre to ensure the culprit object is no longer stuck in the tyre.

Many punctures are caused by foreign objects stuck in your tyre for days or weeks just waiting for the right bump in the street to push it further into the tube.  This is why people often have punctures on gravel roads, the surface increases the chances of “pushing” the foreign objects you’ve stored in your tyres.  A tyre inspection after every ride is a good way to reduce your puncture risks, tweezers may be required.
