ABOUT US

How we do our thing

Bike North Incorporated is a not-for-profit recreational bicycle user group.

Bike North’s objects are articulated in the Bike North Constitution:
     i. to provide members and others with safe and enjoyable cycling experiences, and
ii. to advocate for improved cycling conditions.

We aim to deliver safe and enjoyable cycling by offering more than 50 group rides per month for people at all levels of fitness and experience.  We welcome those riding a variety of bicycles and enjoy spending time with everyone who shares an interest in cycling. Check out our Calendar and join in the fun!

When it comes to improving cycling conditions, we advocate for improvements for cyclists regardless of whether they use their bike for transport, recreation, exercise or just for fun.

Our main focus is on nine local government areas in northern Sydney:  The Hills, Hornsby, Hunters Hill, Ku-ring-gai, Lane Cove, North Sydney, Ryde, Parramatta and Willoughby. Because we live or work locally, we know the local areas and issues. We raise problems or concerns about cycling with the relevant authorities. We plan and work with Councils towards implementing their bicycle plans to get better cycling routes and facilities within and across our areas. Read more about our Advocacy activities.

Affiliated with Bicycle NSW, Better Streets and AusCycling, Bike North is committed to playing a positive role for cycling within the community.
