Cycling Without Age / Spring Cycle 12 October 2025
STOP PRESS - A Bike North member has volunteered two people for one of the trishaws, but we still need a wheelchair using passenger for the second trishaw. Thanks to Bike North members for your support.
John Kelman and the volunteers of Cycling Without Age do an amazing job, making the lives of older Sydney siders more rewarding. John and team would like to include their two trishaws in the Bicycle NSW Spring Cycle. This is a huge opportunity to publicise their great work and get more volunteers. Unfortunately, their usual passengers are not available, and they are looking for three people to be passengers in their trishaws (now just one person).
This is a rare opportunity to cycle over the main deck of the Harbour Bridge, and roads are closed to traffic for the entire route. The course is just 10km for these cycles.
One trishaw takes two people, which can be two less able or older people, or one less able and a family member (this trishaw is now filled - thanks). The second takes one wheelchair using passenger. So, they are looking for three people in total.
Do you know anyone who would be suitable to participate as a passenger on this ride? Do you have a family member who would be suitable, and you could be the second person as carer? You are also welcome to ride your own bike beside the team.
You would need to be at St Leonards Park by 7:30am on Sunday 12 October for the start of the Spring Cycle. |
