This is an alternative route to the Big Loop which uses the M2. Riders need to experienced in riding with traffic.
The ride travels the back streets of Eastwood and Carlingford to get to Pennant Hills Rd and then follows an undulating route with a few steep pinches through the West Pennant Hills valley. Then cut through to Castle Hill and wind around back roads to travel through Baulkham Hills. Up to now this is badically the same as the first part of Chasing the Moonrise.
After Baulkam Hills we headdown to Winston Hills, Northmead, Wrstmead and Parramatta Park.
Once at the Park we do a couple of laps (either fast or slow) before our caffeine stop at the Gatehouse.
We return via either Parramatta Valley Cycleway to Meadowbank or Carlingford Rail to Eastwood.
This ride provides an opportunity for those used to easier or flatter rides to experience a route with climbing. More experienced riders will also enjoy the ride with lap(s) of Parramatta Park for extra effort.
