This ride is not suitable for new riders; riders need to be confident in traffic both vehicular and pedestrian. Although low kms, the ride could take 3 hrs. The ride leader will 'show and tell' history, architecture and art works around the City.
Starting at Circular Quay is the Quay Quarter tower, we'll get close. . There are many interesting art works in/off the lanes around this precinct, off Pitt St cycle path and within Australia Square. Listen to bird songs lost in time at Angel Place. Look at the detailed historic architecture in Martin Place. See giant blue beings in Art Gallery Rd, sculptured works at the Archibald Fountain and the Art Deco styled ANZAC Memorial.
If time permits, we will loop around Pyrmont to Waterfront Park to see three giant digesters- which were salvaged and mounted as historic industrial art installations after the CSR factory closed in the 1990s. Then ride back over Pyrmont Bridge on track for Barangaroo foreshore and Walsh Bay finger wharfs, enroute to Circular Quay.
