Big, noisy, colourful and joyous!

105 members and community leaders gathered to celebrate 30 years of rides, advocacy and friendships. Founders, life members and all contributors were honoured and Bike North's many achievements remembered, with attendees wearing a purple item of clothing to salute the club colours. But it was the friendships that filled the room on Saturday. The stories, the memories, people we hadn't seen in literally decades were there on the night. A slide show of embarrassingly younger bike riders from a faraway time and some insights from club icons Neil Tonkin and Doug Stewart. Every single person came away with a smile on their face. A great night was had by all.

Bike North AGM 2026 - Sunday 23 August

A reminder that the Bike North AGM will be held on Sunday 23 August at Wentworth Common, Sydney Olympic Park. The official Notice of 2026 AGM was emailed to all members last week. As with previous years the AGM will be preceded by a Big Rides Day. There are plenty of rides already posted on the Events Calendar so secure your place now!! Lunch will be provided plus a host of activities related to our 30th Anniversary. The Bike North clothing shop is open and there will be jerseys for you to try on for size too. Look out for more announcements in next week's Chain Reaction and on Facebook / Instagram. See y'all there, and as I always say, bring a clean bike!!!
