Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail opening

Roll up to help make this a great weekend!
Bring family, friends and neighbours.
SAVE THE DATE Help celebrate the opening of the first pilot rail trail on a long-out of service, publicly owned, rural rail corridor. The success of the Tumbarumba to Rosewood rail trail will influence the development of the next 2 pilot rail trails in NSW.
If you can’t be there on the opening weekend, get there in the next 12 months! Demonstrate that rail trails benefit regional communities.
Help this fire ravaged region NOW by bringing an EMPTY ESKY, big thirsts and bigger appetites.
Make sure you stop at nearby Tumut and especially hard hit BATLOW along the way.   Buy a drink, get a meal and let people know you are on your way to the Tumba Rail Trail.

“The official opening is on Friday at 11.30am with speeches, ribbon cutting, a celebratory parade down the first part of the rail trail followed by a BBQ. Information stalls and displays … “.

“Saturday 4 April is a family funday starting at 8.30am with brunch available before riding/walking/scootering/running from the Figures Street site towards Rosewood. Buses and bike trailers will be available to pick you up if you get too tired (may be a small fee involved). Food, coffee vans and information stalls will be set up at Rosewood all day Saturday at the end of the rail trail and a market day at Gone Barny.”
It’s been a long journey, with several committee members working hard on this for nearly 18 years ! Let’s enjoy the fruits of their labour while we bring good cheer by visiting their beautiful region.
We look forward to a great turn up on 3, 4 and 5 April ! See you there…
